Turkey's first full-range, not-for profit hospital the American Hospital, was established by Admiral L. Bristol in 1920 and the assets were transferred to one of the largest foundations in Europe the Vehbi Koç Foundation" in 1995. V.K.F. American Hospital is planning to reach the perfection continuing the tradition of rendering high-quality and comprehensive medical care for the patients and meeting the needs for their staff at the same time.

The substructure for Quality System Management for V.K.F American Hospital has been started in 1998. V.K.F American Hospital has won the ISO 9001 Quality System Certification on the first step in 2000. All inspections has been made by international surveillance firm "SGS Yarsley". This certification has a major importance for private hospitals.
